My Birthday Tattoos

Story behind these tattoo, if anyone cares to know.

I have had issues with my knees and lower legs for 15y/o now.
Since I started getting pretty bad I use to say "Just cut them off, right about here, just cut them off" I made a motion with my hand across where the tattoos are on my leg.
I kept this feeling of hate for my legs, crippled with joint pain and sever nerve neuropathy, until I met the man who cared enough to get through the surgeries and the help with my pain and treatments.
After that I set my heart on these tattoos. It is a symbol that I have excepted my legs how they are and I am willing to work on helping them instead of wishing them gone. There will always be a open wound between me any my legs (that is why the stitches are not fully closed) but in my mind I have reattached what I had cut off and hated so much. These are my legs...
Crippled and painful, but mine!
I will live life with a can do not can't do.
This is a symbol of that.
